Left Drowning by Jessica Park
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
It’s always hard for me to explain all the intricate feelings I’ve gone through after reading such a well written, heartfelt book. The narrative follows Blythe as she stumbles through life after the devastation of loosing her parents. She meets Chris but he too has a dark past full of pain, and what makes it worse (or better) is his 3 younger siblings. Blythe meets them all and is adopted into their makeshift family.
When the storms of their lives settle down, is when the emotional turmoil shows through, and the question begs, is love enough for all of them?
The way their lives intertwine from early on was so cleverly done, that at the very end of the book, I almost don’t feel ready to let Christopher and Blythe go. This is one I will put on my physical bookshelf, as well as my digital one. A true treasure.
